Dear Don, I received my grades and I did great! I received two As and one B+ resulting in a 3.76 GPA. I wanted you to know that the skills I learned at Law Preview have played a large part in the success I'm currently enjoying at GULC. I also wanted to thank you for all of your follow-up with the Law Preview students. Your program is excellent not only for the before-school preparation but also your continued support which I did not expect, but certainly appreciate. I will always proudly recommend Law Preview.

Thank you, Law Preview! I received 2 A minuses and a B+ for my first semester, amounting to a 3.55 GPA. Before taking the course, I felt intimidated about returning back to school. I had taken a few years off after college--2 years of which I spent in the Peace Corps, a very non-academic environment. Law Preview gave me the confidence and tips I needed to succeed. Law school is a totally different animal from college. What worked for you there might not work for you in law school. After taking the Law Preview course, I knew what to expect of law school. I came to school with a plan of action. I truly feel that I've received above average grades because of Law Preview. I whole-heartedly recommend it.

Don, I just wanted to thank you for starting the Law Preview course. I truly feel confident going into my first year at Georgetown Law. The advice and encouragement you gave me has relieved much of the anxiety and mystique around the law school process. No matter how my grades turn out, I at least know that I am mentally ready for the challenge. The overview Law Preview provides is second to none and I can't wait to give you an update in the years to come! Please feel free to give my name to any potential students of Law Preview. THANKS AGAIN!

Overall, this was an incredible experience -- I am so pleased and impressed and have no doubt that this will help me for years to come. Also, I can't tell you how impressed and satisfied I was with every professor and every subject . .. Thank you for everything, it was truly exceptional.

I was ranked in the top 15% of my first-year section. I found the last two days of the Law Preview course most helpful. Specifically the classes taught by Prof. Harrison, Exam Taking and Legal Research and Writing. Although I was cursing myself at the time for spending Saturday learning about mysterious things called Shephardizing and Corpus Juris Secundum, I still referred to the notes I took in that class during my LR and W class last year and during my internship this summer. I also found the e-mail updates during the year helpful. Great program.

I had good understanding of the study skills that would be needed for class and exams. I felt my Law Preview experience most in preparing for exams. I also benefited from the mental preparation that the intensive week of Law Preview forced me to undertake.

I was really pleased with how Law Preview prepped me for my first semester! I knew exactly what I needed to do to prepare for classes, what to focus on in taking class notes, and how I should prepare for exams. While my peers struggled and floundered in the first few months trying to figure out how to read a case or write a brief, I was confident that I knew what to look for and it made it much easier to get more out of class from the very start and finish the semester strong. Also, the schedule suggested in terms of outline preparation really worked for me and gave me enough time to complete the outlines, consolidate them, and use them on practice tests. This familiarity with my outline in a test-like setting made all the difference in the world.

My undergrad grades were mediocre and I had graduated a few years ago, so law school was very intimidating. Law Preview was great way introduction with valuable, practical advice; my first semester grades far exceeded my hopes.

The main benefit of Law Preview is that it dramatically reduces the learning curve and culture shock that beginning students inevitably face. By understanding more of the journey on which I was about to embark, I was better prepared to grasp the material and learn substantive law rather than trying to learn the basics, which Law Preview teaches.

Hi Don. I just got my first semester grades back. Although we don't receive our class rankings until the end of our first year, my first semester grades put me somewhere in the top 5%. Thanks! I have to admit, I wasn't expecting to perform nearly so well, and I have to credit your course. In particular, I found your strategy for approaching the first year of law school the best part of the course. It allowed me to start law school with a system already in place, and I was able to modify and fine tune it as the semester went on. I knew what to expect, and more important, what was expected of me from my professors. While the general strategy parts of the course were the most useful, the intro into Future Interests was worth its weight in gold!! I'm not sure how this semester will turn out now that everyone else has started to figure out how to study for law school, but at least I won't have to be playing catch up! Thanks again.

Thanks Law Preview- I finished somewhere in the top 6-7% of my class for the first year. Because I am part-time, we are not officially ranked until the end of our second year, but my grades let me know where I stand. I definitely credit Law Preview in large measure for my success; in particular the "approach to law school" tips are priceless and are what gave me the edge.

Law Preview truly prepared me for my first semester of law school. Thanks to a mere six days spent in your classes this summer, I knew what to expect, how to brief, how to take efficient notes, and even what to expect out of exams. I am happy to report that I received the highest grade in my Contracts class and that although we do not receive rankings until the end of the year, I expect that I am currently in the top 3-5% based on grade distributions. I would recommend Law Preview to anyone who wants to obtain an edge during first semester!

Law Preview helped me throughout the semester by giving me a guide as to what types of landmarks I needed to hit at different times (e.g. outlining, reviewing material, etc.). Because mine is one of the few schools with midterms, I had to adjust my strategy somewhat. I also appreciate the value of having the overview understanding of the different first-year topics. It was helpful for me to understand the basics of what I was learning beforehand much in the same way that one benefits from understanding the geography of a foreign country before visiting. Funny anecdote: While talking about Lucy v. Zehmer in contracts, I started listing facts that were not described in our textbook. I had forgotten which material I had learned at Law Preview and which I had learned from the text. . . . Regarding my grades, I am on the Dean's List and my first semester GPA is 3.25. Also I earned As in Civil Procedure and Contracts.

Law Preview did just that- gave me a preview of my first year law school classes. Because of LP, I started the school year feeling better prepared, which in turn made me more confident. LP taught me the skills I needed to succeed in my first year. The study calendar which LP recommended was most helpful even if it was incredibly regimented because it made me stay on top of my studies.

If it hadn't been for Law Preview, I would have been figuring out my weekly studying routine right around midterms. At that point, you might as well throw away the semester. Law Preview impressed on me the importance of calculated, and balanced work efforts to ensure that I didn't burn out, while staying on top of the rigorous course load that is unique to law school.
—Michael D., Golden Gate University School of Law, Class of 2014

Very good and inspiring. It set the expectation that I would have to spend 12 hours a day studying (although I rarely did) so I always was pushing myself to exceed where others gave up too easily. This allowed me to be in the top of my class.
—Cilicia V., Hamline University School of Law, Class of 2008

Law Preview affected my law school experience by not being scared. I went into the first semester of law school with confidence and a correct mind set to succeed. I looked around during orientation and all of the other incoming one L's were freaked out and nervous. I also was one of the only students to know what a tort was prior to class starting.
—Douglas C., Hamline University School of Law, Class of 2010

Law Preview really helped put law school into perspective. I really had no idea of what to expect going in, and Law Preview gave me insight in what to expect. The overview lectures on the basic courses (contracts, civil procedure, torts, etc.) along with the case readings was a really nice to way to get a taste of what was to come. It is no way taught me everything I needed to know first semester, but it did give me a sense of confidence.

Thank you so much. I just got my fall term grades back and was thrilled with 2 A's and an A-. I thought adjusting to school after working for several years would be difficult. Law Preview not only alleviated my stress about the adjustment, but also helped me hit the ground running. Thanks for all your help.

Law Preview surpassed all my expectations. I took Law Preview and the course offered by BarBri-NILE. Every day, Law Preview gave each of its students highly individualized and personal attention, which my BarBri-NILE experience lacked. Truly, the Law Preview staff could not have been more attentive or caring! I recommend this course for anyone preparing for law school.
