About Matt's Legal Career
Matt attended Law Preview in 2005 before beginning his first-year at The University of Texas School of Law where he excelled and graduated with honors. During law school, he served as a staff editor of the Texas Journal of Oil and Gas Law and was a Dean's Merit Scholarship Recipient.After graduating from UT Law in 2008, Matt joined Vinson & Elkin's Houston office where his practice is primarily in complex commercial litigation, with a focus on securities, condemnation, and oil and gas matters.
The Law Preview program is an excellent tool to learn how to succeed in law school. The amount of information law students must process can be overwhelming, and Law Preview teaches you how to understand, organize, and utilize that information. Having an understanding of what to expect and how to handle the workload was extremely helpful for me in my first year of law school.
